How to monitor 50 tokens with one AI agent

Your DeFi Scout agent can track dozens of tokens across multiple chains simultaneously. Here is a step-by-step guide to configuring watchlists, alert thresholds, and batch checks — so one agent replaces your entire morning routine.

You do not need 50 agents to monitor 50 tokens. One DeFi Scout agent on Klow can track an entire portfolio across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Polygon — checking prices, flagging risk, and alerting you on Telegram when something moves. This tutorial shows you how to set it up.

Step 1: Deploy your DeFi Scout

Sign in at klow.info, pick the DeFi Scout template, connect Telegram. Your agent is live in under 60 seconds. The template comes pre-configured with klow-web3 tools: token_check, contract_risk, wallet_balance, and swap_quote. No extra setup needed.

Step 2: Define your watchlist

Send your agent a plain-language message in Telegram:

The agent stores this in its memory. On every check cycle it runs token_check for each asset, batching calls per chain to minimize RPC overhead. You can add or remove tokens at any time — just tell the agent in natural language.

Step 3: Set alert thresholds

Default behavior: the agent alerts you on any 24-hour move greater than 10%. You can customize:

The agent adjusts its alert logic per token. Thresholds are stored in agent memory and persist across restarts. You can also set absolute price targets: "Alert me when ETH drops below $2,800 or AERO goes above $3."

Step 4: Configure risk scanning

Every token_check call also runs contract_risk under the hood — flagging honeypots, ownership renouncement status, and suspicious contract patterns. For a portfolio of 50 tokens, this matters. One compromised token in your list could drain a position before you notice.

Tell your agent: "If any watched token gets a new risk flag, send me an urgent alert with details." The agent uses GoPlus security data to surface risks within minutes of detection.

Step 5: Batch checks and scheduling

By default, DeFi Scout checks your watchlist every few hours during active periods. For tighter monitoring:

The agent batches all 50 token checks into a single sweep per chain, keeping credit usage efficient. A full 50-token sweep across 4 chains costs roughly 15-20 credits — about $0.02. At 6 checks per day, that is around $3.60 per month for continuous multi-chain monitoring.

Step 6: Morning briefing

The daily digest (enabled by default) sends you a Telegram summary every morning: tokens checked, risks found, biggest movers, and your current streak. But you can also ask for an on-demand briefing anytime:

The agent pulls fresh data, ranks your 50 tokens by 24h performance, highlights any with new risk flags, and delivers a one-screen summary. No dashboard hopping. No tab switching. One message in Telegram.

Step 7: Tune your spending policy

If your DeFi Scout also has wallet access (optional), set spending policies to match your comfort level. Approval mode means every transaction needs your sign-off. Autopilot mode lets the agent execute within limits you define — for example, "auto-approve swaps under $50 on Base."

For a monitoring-only setup, keep the wallet in watch-only mode. The agent reads chain data but cannot move funds. You get all the intelligence with zero execution risk. Learn more about the wallet security model.

What 50-token monitoring actually looks like

After setup, your daily experience is: wake up, read one Telegram message with your portfolio summary, act on anything flagged. Throughout the day, alerts arrive only when thresholds are breached — no noise, no dashboards, no manual checking. One agent replaces the 30-minute morning routine of checking CoinGecko, DeFiLlama, and Twitter for each position.

Scale is not the hard part. The hard part was building an agent that remembers your watchlist, respects your thresholds, and reports concisely. DeFi Scout does all three out of the box.
